Hayley Gregory joined the Business Practice Group as an Associate in 2026. She focuses her practice on estate and business planning and business law, advising individuals, families, and closely held companies on the legal matters that arise throughout the life of a business and in planning for the future. Hayley enjoys working closely with clients to understand their goals and develop practical solutions tailored to their particular circumstances. Her practice includes business organization and governance, contract formation and review, business succession planning, estate planning, probate, and general business advising.

 

Hayley’s interest in transactional practice comes from her enjoyment of the practical and problem-solving aspects of advising clients. She appreciates the opportunity to learn how a client’s business operates and to help navigate the legal considerations that accompany important decisions. Whether helping a client establish and organize a new company, plan for the transition of a closely held company to the next generation, or develop an estate plan that carries out their wishes, Hayley strives to provide thoughtful, practical advice that helps clients move forward with confidence.

 

Hayley received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and her Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law. While at KU Law, she served as President of KU Women in Law and as a Staff Editor and Symposium Editor for the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy. As Symposium Editor, Hayley helped organize a symposium addressing legal and policy issues affecting rural America. Her article, “How Legislative Improvements Can Restore the Kansas Right-to-Farm Act to Its Intended Role in Protecting Kansans and Kansas Farmers,” which examined legislative improvements to the Kansas Right-to-Farm Act, received the Shapiro Award for Best Article from the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy.

 

Hayley grew up in rural Kansas, and that background continues to shape her perspective as an attorney. She values the close relationships and long-term perspective often found in Kansas communities and enjoys working with clients to understand not only the legal issue at hand, but also the people and goals behind it.

Outside of the office, Hayley enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, and spending time with her yellow rescue Labrador, Oscar.
