Anna E. Wolf joined the firm as an associate in 2018, specializing in trial work and litigation, with an emphasis on insurance defense, family law, and criminal and traffic defense.

Anna was born and raised in Kansas City before attending the University of Notre Dame for her undergraduate studies.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies with concentrations in History and Political Science, and a minor in the Gallivan Program of Journalism, Ethics, and Democracy.  Anna was active in student and hall government, holding multiple leadership and service positions with both, and dedicated to serving the community, attending a Spring Break service trip to repair housing in the Appalachian region, and tutoring a special needs child on a weekly basis.

After graduation from Notre Dame, Anna returned to Kansas City to volunteer with AmeriCorps, where she led a project focused on developing a summer experiential learning camp designed to teach entrepreneurship to low- to moderate-income teen girls.  The project involved coordination with local high schools and colleges, identifying key partnerships, securing funding through grants and donations, and adapting an entrepreneurship curriculum to best meet the needs of the students.

Anna went on to pursue her law degree at the University of Kansas School of Law, earning her Juris Doctor and a certificate in Environmental & Natural Resources Law. She served on the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy, and her article, “Fence Row to Fence Row: An Examination of America’s Commodity Subsidy System” was one of five student articles selected for publication in 2012.  Anna participated in moot court, and held a judicial clerkship and clerkships in both criminal prosecution and state administration.

Anna began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office, where she gained invaluable courtroom experience as a prosecutor.  Anna prosecuted a wide variety of misdemeanor and felony cases, focusing primarily on juvenile offender and child sex abuse cases.  Anna is also the former City Prosecutor for the City of Tonganoxie, and she continues to work in municipal prosecution as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Mission.

Anna’s civil litigation experience includes successfully defending a homeowner in a negligence and strict liability action at trial.  At the close of Plaintiff’s evidence, Anna moved for and won judgment as a matter of law, identifying a key argument that relieved her client of liability in the matter.  Anna’s extensive courtroom experience is a tremendous asset to her clients in insurance defense, family law, and criminal defense and traffic matters.

Anna is admitted to practice law in Kansas, Missouri and Colorado, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Kansas and Western Missouri. She is a member of the Johnson County Bar Association, the Wyandotte County Bar Association, and the Kansas Bar Association.  She enjoys volunteering with and fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.  She lives in the Historic Strawberry Hill neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas with her husband, Erik, and their two sons.
