Jodde Olsen Lanning
Ms. Lanning's areas of expertise include banking law, corporate law, general business law, partnerships, probate, real estate, tax, and wills and estate planning. Jodde advises clients in a variety of business transactions including representation of numerous privately held corporations, sophisticated tax and corporate consultation, and various aspects of personal business and personal succession planning.
Ms. Lanning received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas. She also received her Juris Doctorate degree from KU in 1980 where she was elected to The Order of the Coif. She was a member of the University of Kansas Law Review for two years and served as Managing Editor in her final year.
Ms. Lanning has been with Payne & Jones, Chartered continuously since graduation from law school. Jodde's experience in various aspects of tax law has been recognized by the University of Kansas where she has served as Adjunct Professor teaching classes in Federal Estate and Gift Taxation and Estate Planning. She has previously served as a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Kansas School of Law and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Tax Section of the Kansas Bar Association. Jodde is one of the several principals at Payne & Jones, Chartered who have received the prestigious "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Jodde
is admitted to practice in Kansas as well as the United States Tax Court.
She is a member of the Johnson County, Kansas and American Bar Associations.
