Banking Law Practice Group
For many decades, Payne & Jones has been a leader in representing closely-held financial institutions in the Greater Kansas City area. We provide corporate, transactional and tax counsel to banks and bank holding companies, from board advisory services to day-to-day management and operational counsel. In addition, our attorneys routinely engage in loan negotiations and documentation of non-standard commercial loans for a variety of lending institutions.
The firm’s practice also includes counseling banks in dealing with troubled credits, from work-out to bankruptcy and foreclosure services, and our approach reflects our practical philosophy of results-oriented planning and execution. We recognize that, especially in the area of troubled credits, it is imperative that our banking clients’ legal budgets be directed to efficiently produce results. In all matters, we focus our efforts effectively, and our goal is to bring the necessary legal talent to the matter at hand without resorting to highly specialized teams of attorneys.
We recognize that, like most entrepreneurial ventures, closely-held financial institutions face issues of ownership, capital expansion and succession planning similar to other businesses, but in a highly regulated environment which requires particular attention to detail. Our banking law attorneys are knowledge about the various regulatory issues and are familiar with common regulatory requirements applicable to such transactions at both the state and federal level.
Our banking law group will stand by you in addressing both the complex and the day-to-day legal needs of closely-held financial institutions. |
